What is a good camera/lighting to use when photographing a model? For my photography class, I need to take a picture of a model. The model will be my second cousin , however I need a camera like they use when photographing high fashion magazines. I also need places to get lighting for shooting the model perfectly. And please remember, I am a student. It must be affordable. I don't think I can dish out anything over 1000

how important is lighting or the right angle of the camera to making your subject look good? A picture often says a lot about a person... I mean, its a reflection of your image. However no matter how beautiful a person is, do you find that if the angle is off or the lighting is terrible... it often makes a person look bad? I have taken 100's of pictures of my friends... and those friends that I find attractive. Yet maybe 50% of those pictures are not so flattering due to setup. But they always take it personally. In your opinion how important is lighting or the right angle of the camera to making your subject look the most attractive?

How do I setup my lighting kit to sync with my digital camera? I just bought a strobe and softbox kit, how do I get it to sync with my Canon EOS digital rebel xt? I will be taking photos at a club tomorrow night and will be taking pictures. I will need the continuous light on from the softbox and I tested it this morning - but I am having trouble adjusting my camera settings and the strobe settings. How do I do it? I also purchased a hot shoe safe sync from WEIN that supposedly works with my camera to put on the hot shoe and sync with the PC cord that goes with the strobe. It seems to only work when I use my other external flash though (canon speedlite 430) because that flash triggers the strobes. I dont even know if the WEIN hot shoe sync works.

Video Camera Lighting.? I use the Canon Power Shot A530 ( digital camera ) for my videos. I know its a digital camera but i think it works pretty good as a video camera aswell. Well anyways, i just started to try to do green screening with this camera. ( My question isnt about green screening ). But when you are keying out the color of your green screen of your ediot you need the screen to remain one color. But my camera changes the color of my green screen because of the lighting i use. I wanted to know if trhere was a way to turn off the feature that ajusts to the lighting. Becasue it makes it SO HARD to key when it ajusts to the lighting. THANKS ALOT

I know that in Texas sometimes the media tells you what intersections will be having a red light camera... now the question is... how would I find out which intersections already have it? Got flashed by a red light camera but I was running a green light? It was about 9:30 pm and I was going past a red light camera area. The light flashed once to my left and then another time right in front of me and was almost blinding. The thing is though, the light was green when I was driving.
