Sometimes whenever I stand up I get light headed and my vision goes black. Does anyone know what is wrong?
It doesn't happen all the time, but only sometimes. It's been happening alot more now than before. I drink coca cola products alot and I've been cutting down on it. Could that be a reason?

- no, its from sitting down for a long period of time then standing up to fast so your blood curculation doesnt have time to go back to normal right away so for a few seconds your body isnt how its supposed to be. nothings wrong it happens to me too
- Yeah the same thing happens to me. my vision goes all dark and fuzzy. The reason is your eyes are adjusting to the natural light of the sun. Im guessing it happens after you wake up or watch tv for a while. Don't worry your fine, nothing is wrong.
- It could be your heart but the most common cause is dehydration or age. You should be drinking at least 64 ounces of water each day and closer to 100 ounces would be ideal. If it doesn't stop after 3-5 days of doing this, then go see your doctor.
- This is called positional hypertension and in my case it was the final straw that broke the camel's back and sent me to the doctor where I was diagnosed with this: http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/1987686/pseudotumor_cerebri_training_wheels.html?cat=5 If you develop additional weird visual signs, accompanied by a loud whooshing noise in keeping with your pulse, beware.
